The treatment is administered by a dedicated injectable specialist and qualified nurse prescriber; Claire Kirsty. She holds level 7 Masters in Aesthetics and is CQC registered (Quality Care Commision). She is also a trainer for Cosmetic Courses (one of the UK’s leading training providers and the longest established provider of Botox training and dermal fillers, led by Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Adrian Richards).  Claire is available at our clinic every Tuesday and Thursday as well as one Saturday a month.

Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)

Excessive sweating  in both men and women can be treated with anti-wrinkle injections (commonly known as Botox®) which work by blocking the nerves responsible for activating sweat glands. Normally, the nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises. This is how your body automatically cools itself. In people with hyperhidrosis, however, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive. Prior to treatment of the underarms, a local anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment as this can ease any potential discomfort.
